I finally got the correct paper for this type of flower and I must say, it’s much harder to work with. So much more delicate and flimsy, but so simple to shape! FYI, my cats decided to eat these. NOT cat proof! 😭

I am so in love with everything about the paper flower creating experience!! I think the part I love most is admiring them afterwards. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

From just flowers to a vine, I had to undo and redo quite a bit of work. I almost let that stop me! But, once I actually got started on undoing some of my previous work, it surprisingly was relaxing. 🏖 I didn’t look at it as a failure, just a learning experience. I ended up thinning out ALL of the stems and changing the colour of the floral tape. I think it all came together perfectly in the end!

Assembling the vine was a bit scary. There’s not rule book to follow, it’s completely up to you! This made me think... You know who follows their own rules? Mother Nature follows her own rules! That gave me the inspiration to just let go of all expectation and to just try.

This spring weather has me in a little bit of a flower craze! And since I’ve finally dropped the fear of trying new things, I took a leap and finally made these flowers I’ve been dying to try, forever!

I’m so happy with how these Bougainvillea’s turned out! Lots of trial and error but I think I’ve got the basic technique down. Just waiting on my shipment of supplies to add some greenery to this!
