Summer doesn't end quietly in this city. 🎓

Bollywood 101 — Back to School Edition takes over the rooftop at Sky Bar, Edmonton on Saturday, September 5, 10 PM – 2 AM.

Elevated booths, panoramic open-air views, the whole of Whyte glowing underneath you. Sky Bar's rooftop usually runs on afrobeats and Latin — for one night, we're handing the entire thing to Bollywood. And it's the last open-air night we run in this city all year. Once September closes, so do the rooftops, and you're waiting until spring for another sky over your head at 1 AM.

A big Bollywood DJ flies in from Toronto to headline, with a set that runs Bollywood through EDM, afro, tech and house. Anthems you've known since childhood, rebuilt for a rooftop at midnight. You'll know every word. You won't see one drop coming.

Back to School Edition means we want you dressed for it — pleated skirts and cropped blazers, loosened ties and crisp oxfords, knee-highs, plaid, varsity jackets, loafers, fresh sneakers. Come as the kid who sat at the back and ran the whole school anyway.

Curated bar all night. Elevated VIP booths with bottle service and the best view in the room. And it's the Saturday of the long weekend — nothing waiting for you on Monday.

Class is back in session, Edmonton. 🎓

Bollywood 101 lands on the roof at Skybar on Saturday, September 5 — ten till two, above Whyte, elevated booths and open-air views with the whole strip glowing underneath you. That rooftop runs on afrobeats and Latin almost every weekend of the year, and for one night we're taking the entire thing and turning it desi. It's also the last outdoor night we run in this city all year, and once the patios close in September they stay closed until spring, so consider this your only remaining chance to be up there at 1 AM with nothing between you and the sky.

A big Bollywood DJ is flying in from Toronto to headline, with a set built on the fusion that's been tearing our floors apart across six cities — Bollywood at the core, threaded through EDM, afro, tech and house. Songs you've known since you were small, rebuilt until you can't tell where they're going. You'll know every single word. You won't see one drop coming.

Back to School Edition, so dress for it. Pleated skirts and cropped blazers, oversized ties and knee-highs, plaid and loafers. Blazers thrown over tees, loosened ties, varsity jackets, chinos, fresh kicks. Come as the one who never did the reading and somehow still ran the whole hallway. Effort gets noticed here. Effort gets photographed.

Curated bar all night. Elevated booths with bottle service and the best view in the room — there are only a few, and they always go first.

On August 1, the highest Bollywood floor in Edmonton opens back up — Skybar rooftop, open sky, city lights in every direction, and a night that runs from 10 til 2. The only Bollywood party in this city that happens above it, not inside it.

Edmonton, you showed up in white and lit up the rooftop. 🤍

Saturday night at Sky Bar was everything The Bollywood Penthouse Party was meant to be — a full house above Whyte Ave, the skyline glowing behind us, and DJ Pathik running Bollywood through Afro, Latin and house all the way to 2 AM. The booths were full, the bar never slowed, and the energy was unmatched.

Huge thank you to everyone who dressed up, came out, and made the night what it was. This is why we keep coming back to Edmonton. 🤍

August 1. The Bollywood Rooftop Party, Volume III. Skybar, Edmonton — the only Bollywood night in this city that happens under an open sky, and the one you've watched fill up twice already.
