Crazy Darrell's Entertainment

It is always kind of cool coming across old videos. When Crazy D's originally went independent. We only focused on School Dances. One market, and one market only. I had Chris aka DJ Ethan working for me. We only featured Intelligent lighting from Martin. Robozap, Synchrozap, Roboscan & Centerpiece. Large screen projection video systems , laser, pyrotechnics and special effects.
Of course most of this was for every party, but made sure that we brought the Full Nighclub Immersive Experience to all the Junior & Senior High Schools.
A big change from when I went to school, when the dances had a strobe light, and "Social" dances because all the boys lined up on one side of the gym, and girls on the other. Not too mention slow and boring music.

Here is some video from one of the last great After/Safe Grads almost 17 years ago.
It was not too long after this time period when the "Ipod" DJ became a thing, and the truly great Graduation Experience when the way of the Doo Doo.
Enjoy

Crazy D's was again at the Garden Venue yesterday.
They installed a "Cute" DB meter, which was surprisingly accurate.

At rest, ambient noise was 80 Db

And to respond to most of the inquires about "noise"
That meter maintained 95-105 Db consistently which was more than acceptable for the operators.

Unlike my last event where they used a phone "app" which was reading around 110 Db at basic operating levels, and almost 120 DB during the dance.

I bring this up, as so many of these purpose built "Photo Op", Destination venues are in locals, and most have a 90 Db maximum level. Which for Crazy D's is essentially...Power on.

Keep this in mind, as it determines if you are going to have a party or a series of photo oportunities.

Unfortunately our Alto Stealth Pro decided it's time was up. Unable to get any parts, as this was a pretty exclusive product (and rock solid), I was forced to do a lot of research for a comparable product.
