I drew this succubus up years ago, and never got the chance to tattoo it. Today I did. My client was in a lot of pain prior to the tattoo so what we had originally planned we weren't able to do because of the position they had to be in, so we went through some flash, and drawings on my iPad and landed on her. It was a rough go but we did it! Very happy I was able to get her on skin finally!

I finally did a Kelpie! And a massive one at that. For those who don't know, a kelpie is a water horse in Scottish folklore that inhabits deep pools, rivers and lochs. They seek to lure young men or women into riding them, before plunging their victims into the depths to drown them. I love designing creatures, cryptids and monsters. Above all subjects I get to tattoo, these are my favorite. More monsters please!

I guess I should probably post this and not just have it in my stories. Its complete! I finished the horro flash i promised months ago. I tried something different this time around with the style, digital painting basically. Took me way longer than expected but im pretty stoked with how these designs came out. Anyways, these are all now available to tattoo. The cat and the skull are roughly 6x6 inches and flat rated at $550 and the dark elf id like to do at minimum 10x5 inches. Can go bigger no issue. Ill be doing her at my hourly rate. Message me to claim yours! Let me know what theme i should do next!

I started this project just before covid struck at my first studio. Got all the lines in and started coloring it over a couple sessions there. Mainly the background which I was determined to doninbthe classic disney painted background style. I hadnt seen the client since.This piece was the one that finally made tattooing make sense to me. Composition, technique, placement. How to handle a stencil when not using a liner (for the background) just a bunch of things i hadn't been able to grasp fully yet were learned in the early stages of this tattoo. And I was surprised to see how well it healed considering. I did some minor touch ups and continued on with the coloring finally a xouole weeks ago. Jerkules and his gang are above these 3 hunks, and we will be tackling them next! But the underworld is done. And I feel it needed its own post before anything else is completed. Theres a lot of un finished pieces out there. Im glad this isn't going to be one of them. Thanks for checking it out! Excited to keep working on this and sharing the process.

So here's something i dont usually tattoo, or even draw for that matter. Theres no monster in this design? Theres no weird little fella? This isn't funny or gross? Theres skin breaks with no ink?! Yeah, I know. But I felt like it had been a while since ive agreed to work on anything of this nature. Im really happy with how it turned out. I got to prove to myself i can still do designs that arent directly from my unhinged brain and still make it beautiful and showcase my style. My client loves it. And that's all that really matters in the end. It's good to step out of your comfort zones sometimes.
