AC1881 Drawing with Force with a Live Model - Daniel Tansy - Sept 17

Use the Force Luke
Capturing forceful expression through drawing can seem tricky. Without it, your figures may look flat, stiff, like they are floating or uninterested in the task they are performing. This class will give artists a series of exercises and skills to help artists draw with more confidence and without fear. Turning stick people into lines of momentum.

Through studying gesture we will explore force lines and directional force, Finding Rhythm and Dynamics within a pose. Students will learn how to utilize line weight, tails and whips, and find a more balanced drawing.
This Class will also help students learn to work through mistakes and utilize their Sketchbooks without fear as well as an introduction to ink brushes.

A perfect class for Animators, Story tellers, comic artists or anyone who wants to take their Anatomy and Figure drawing to the next level!

Daniel is a cartoonist and illustrator based out of Edmonton. He has had produced art for numerous galleries and restaurants across Edmonton. His blend of tradition and classical anatomy mixed with modern cartooning has made a big splash in the community.
