Make your way to the Arts District to check out what's happening all month long at Art Gallery of Alberta, Citadel Theatre, Winspear Centre and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra , and in Churchill Square with Edmonton Arts Council!

Our first ever Arts District Day was an incredible day of fun, play, art, music, and community

Whether you stopped by with a friend or brought the whole family, we want to thank you sincerely from Art Gallery of Alberta, Winspear Centre , and Citadel Theatre. We hope you will join us again for more incredible art, music, and theatre.

A huge thank you to our neighbours, partners, artists, and all the volunteers who helped make this day fantastic including PlanIt Sound, our event organizers, the WAGA Committee, Royal Alberta Museum, ihuman Youth Society Jed and the Valentine, YMCA Edmonton, Long and Mcquade, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Ociciwan, Arts Habitat , L'espresso Cafe, Playwright Restaurant and Ghostlight Cafe, Edmonton Public Library, Jay Flair Magic, Phileas Flash Balloons, Dan the Balloon Man, Face Painting by Miss Ye, Steven Greenfield, and Alberta Blue Cross

Join us this Saturday, March 14th from 11am - 4pm for our inaugural Arts District Day! Enjoy music, art exhibits, face painting, a drop-in choir and more! This event is completely free and open to people of all ages.

Start your day at any one of the three organizations - Art Gallery of Alberta , Winspear Centre, or Citadel Theatre - grab your Art Hop Passport at the welcome table and venture through all the activities at each venue to collect your passport stickers!

Before you head home - stop by with your filled out passport to enter a draw for some amazing prizes! Come by and check out all that the Arts District has to offer!

March is packed with events in the Arts District, starting with Arts District Day on Saturday, March 14th!

Check out the website links in our bio for schedules from Winspear Centre Art Gallery of Alberta and Citadel Theatre and make sure you head downtown from 11 am - 4pm on the 14th for a free family-friendly adventure in the arts. There will be activities for families and people of all ages, hands-on learning, exhibit tours, and more!

Plus all the incredible performances and exhibits on all month long!

✨ Come downtown for FREE family arts programming on Monday, February 16 from 12-5PM!

Join the Edmonton Arts Council in partnership with the City of Edmonton - Local Government and our Arts District Edmonton partners for a day of free, family-friendly programming in and around Churchill Square on Family Day.

🎵 Find live afro-fusion music with Mbira Renaissance Band at City Hall with dance lessons in-between sets with Shasily.

🥁 Laugh alongside Rapid Fire Theatre and marvel at the art of Japanese drumming with Booming Tree at Art Gallery of Alberta

😆 In the Citadel Theatre, find Michelle & Friends at Zeidler Hall taking the stage with children's songs and toe-tapping classics, then Rapid Fire Theatre come over to bring the laughter and Hula Hoop Circus delivers the energy with circus arts for all ages.

🕺 At the Tucker Amphitheatre in The Citadel Theatre, cheer on the street performing group Rhythm Speaks as they showcase their hip-hop moves and listen to Métis fiddle player Brianna Lizotte Music

⭐ Please note that capacity at Art Gallery of Alberta and Zeidler Hall in The Citadel Theatre is limited and tickets will be released before the events to allow for reserved seats.
