Hey friends!
Itβs me, Haley ππΌββοΈI hope youβve all been having a fantastic summer so far! Iβve got some important updates regarding my classes. Sorry in advance for my long spielβ¦iβve just got lots to say! π€·ββοΈ
First, a thank you. π
6 or so years ago, I chose to start teaching adult tap in Edmonton. I felt like there was something missing when I looked at adult classes in the city, so I swapped from teaching the kiddies and jumped into some unknown territory teaching only adults. Best. Choice. EVER. That decision has led me to meet a ton of amazing people and teachers in Edmonton that have made my life brighter. Iβm extremely grateful to have met all of you, and have not regretted starting my classes for a second. You took a chance on me and my classes, and for that I am grateful. Youβve spent hours upon hours with me in the studio, a place that has always felt like my home regardless of the physical location. I hope those feelings of comfort have also resonated with you. Many of you have followed me from location to location, just because you enjoy putting on your tap shoes, hanging with some friends, getting a good work out in, and getting creative in the studio with me. Iβve built some wicked friendships, and I am so appreciative that through all the changes my classes have gone through, you continue to attend (both my βregularsβ and those of you who pop by once in a blue moon when you have a free night).
Second, an explanation to why Iβm being so sappy and sentimental! π₯
In a few months, I will be packing up and moving across the country to Ontario. Edmonton is my home, but my work and personal life are taking me on a new adventure to Ottawa with my soon to be hubby. Itβs a big change in my life, and with that being said, my classes will no longer be running following this September. For this summer, Iβd love nothing more than to see you in class for a couple more times. Join me in class no matter what level you are at. The classes will be held as βopenβ level and I will have material that everyone can participate in. After class, we will also head over to a patio to socialize, as our new location is just off of Whyte Avenue. I hope you will join me! I have 2 classes being held in July (these are posted on my page) and I am working on holding 1-2 more before I leave (if possible). I will also be organizing a final meet up late September as well. Iβll keep you all posted as Iβd like to see you before I leave!
If youβre ever in Ottawa, please shoot me a message! Iβm always down for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and my home is always open to visitors. I plan to rent some space out for pop up classes when I come back to visit my family here as well. Thank you all for making my tap classes something I always look forward to. Please, never stop tap dancing. Itβs good for your soul in more ways that one.
