Last thursday I had to say goodbye to my best friend, my art partner.
She was so patient, she never complained about the colourful smears she got in her hair from me petting her with paint covered fingers and she always took time out of her busy snoozing schedule to make me stop, take a breather and remember to eat when I got too engaged in an art piece.
For the last 11½ years she's pulled me out of deep dark places during some of the worst times of my life and she's been there during the best parts of my life.
She's been my sidekick, my jester, my protector, my savior and my greatest confidant.
She managed to fill a hole in the deepest darkest part of my heart that I thought could never be reached.
She was the best dog anyone could ever ask for and I was so blessed to have this sweet wonderful soul in my life.
It will be painfully hard to see that empty spot next to my art table but I would like to believe that she will always be there in spirit.
Farewell my beautiful Bell girl, I hope you're running in the bush with your big buddy Gunner chasing after squirrels and magpies with that big goofy smile on your face.
You will be forever missed 🖤🤎🖤
