Celebration of the Life of Louise Maryniak
Friends, family, and members of the Walterdale Theatre community are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the life of Louise Maryniak, who passed away on June 3, 2026, after a life well lived.
Louise treasured the friendships she made through her work and in the theatre community, and we would love to gather the people whose lives she touched.
Date: Saturday, August 29
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Guests are welcome to come and go throughout the afternoon.
Beginning at approximately 4:00 p.m., we'll have an informal open mic and time of sharing. We'd love for anyone who wishes to participate to spend a few minutes sharing how they knew Louise, followed by a song, poem, story, monologue, comedy, or any other creative offering they'd enjoy sharing with friends. Think of it as the kind of open mic Louise would have loved to be part of—as though she were sitting in the audience enjoying an afternoon of community, laughter, stories, and creativity.
Light sandwiches, refreshments, and snacks will be available during the afternoon.
If you have photographs, digital images, or stories about Louise, we'd be grateful if you could send them in advance to [email protected]. I'm hoping to create a slideshow and memory collection that we can all enjoy together.
