🎷 Jazz Album of the Year
Aretha Tillotson has been nominated for Kinda Out West – recorded by MacEwan’s Bent River Records label! The album features faculty member Dave Laing on drums with special guests Ingrid and Christine Jensen, while production and recording was handled by faculty member Padraig Buttner-Schnirer.

🎸 Blues Album of the Year
Shoutout to Secondhand Dreamcar for their nomination for Answer the Call! The band includes faculty member Jamie Cooper on drums, Alumni Award recipient Dave Babcock on saxophone, alum David Aide on keys, trombonist Peter Filice and guitarist Kyle Mosiuk.
