Kompany Dance and Affiliated Artists Society was created in 1979 by Darold Roles and Ron Schuster, as a performance company dedicated to musical theatre. After nearly 30 successful years promoting musical theatre in Alberta, the future of Kompany was passed to current Artistic Director Jan Taylor. An exciting future:

007 Artistic Director Jan Taylor, building on the strong foundation of K.D.A.A.S. transitioned the company to Kompany Family Theatre, focusing on a new mandate: producing quality theatre for young audiences and families, as well as the creation and development of new works. Kompany fulfills on this mandate by offering the following: playwriting competitions, productions and performances for children and families, commissioned works, training workshops, and school tours.

Let us come to you and perform a 45 min interactive show geared towards kids ages three years and up!

Our show this summer is about a misinformed scientist who is trying to thwart the town's summer party. However, the Dr. Kukoo's Machine is broken and Kompany Family Fix It Team comes to the rescue. Will the Fix It Team help or hinder Dr. Kukoo's plans?

We have many positions to be filled for our two back to back Casinos!

As a not for profit our funds relies heavily on the funding that comes through grants and casinos such as these.

Where does our money go?
We pay our actors, admins, designers, directors, transportation to and from show, show development, mentorships, teen acting programs, camps, rehearsal spaces, props, costumes, sets and so much more!

Kompany Family Theatre is looking for professional, non-equity actors and movers.

We are looking to cast performers specifically for a few upcoming projects, but we would love to see anyone who has a passion and interest in theatre for young audiences, even if none of the upcoming projects work for their schedule.

We are also always on the lookout for arts educators- if you have a strong wish to inspire the next generation of artists we want to hear from you!
