This matting technique was peak custom in the 80s and 90s- recently I learned how to do it, but wanted to MODERNIZE it. I used some Brite Core mats, which are great when you only want a subtle POP of colour. What do you think?? Would approve??

I often tell clients to think of some framing as the windows you wish you had, the view that you’d love to look at everyday…. This client understood the assignment!! We stacked three white matte mouldings to mimic the window mouldings in her home already. This way, a painting that didn’t necessarily fit the vibe of her home, instead became a beautiful window with a view!! Create the space you want to live in. 💙

What do picture framers frame??? This is one of my favourite pieces in my parents’ home. Easily over thirty years old, still looking goooooood. Best part of any piece? The story behind it, and this one has a great one…. I think Art tells a different person each Christmas time. 😉
