Congratulations to Dr. Jodi Abbott, on her induction into the Skate Canada: Alberta–NWT/Nunavut Hall of Fame this past weekend! 🎉⛸️

Jodi’s journey began on the ice in rural Alberta, and through decades of dedication and volunteer service, she rose to become a world and Olympic judge and referee officiating at two Olympic Games and numerous World Championships.

Her leadership extends far beyond the rink. She has served on the Skate Canada Board, the ISU Elections Committee, and the Officials Assessment Commission.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well‑deserved honor.

Lynne has dedicated countless volunteer hours to improving our sport. She serves on the Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Board of Directors and on Skate Canada’s Coaches Committee, always giving her time with the best interests of the athletes and the skating community in mind. She has made a lasting contribution to the development of athletes, coaches, and programs within our club and across the Section.

The Marilyn Chidlow Volunteer Award recognizes the efforts of grassroots volunteers who work diligently to ensure club skating programs and skating family members are successful.
