I painted this piece after attending a Fringe show at Strathcona High School in Edmonton — a production of Alice by Heart that a friend of mine helped musically direct. What stayed with me was the moment just before the performance begins - the glowing stage, the audience settling in, and that quiet anticipation in the room.” —
