The Dr. Dasha Goody Memorial Foundation will hold a casino on August 31 and September 1 , 2026 at the Grand Villa Casino Edmonton, 10204-104 Avenue NW, Edmonton. This Foundation is named after the founder of Edmonton Musical Theatre. Every year this Foundation grants a substantial grant to host our June Major Show.
We are in need of volunteers to work in the various positions of Banker, Cashier, Chip runner and Count Room. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and not have a criminal record.
There are two shifts per day: the day shift runs from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the evening shift runs from 8:30 p.m. to 3:15 a.m. Edmonton Musical Theatre will cover meals and snacks while volunteering and will reimburse your parking expenses. If you let them know you are working a casino they will let you park for free below the building if there is no event going on. Additionally we offer EMT credits which can go toward your child's tuition costs or toward the purchase of EMT merchandise or tickets to EMT performances. If you are returning to a program in the Fall this is a great way to get a $50.00 discount! If you bring friends and family they also get that discount for you! The more shifts you work, the more $50.00 discounts you earn!
If you are able to help out by working a shift, please contact me indicating your availability, and also any position preference you may have. Further information will be provided to volunteers once the schedules are completed.
