The Edmonton Short Film Festival is hosting a Pride Screening and community event, and we want you there.

Come watch a curated lineup of short films by Q***r artists from across Canada, browse and support local q***r artists selling their work, and enjoy food and a complimentary beer — all included with your $10 ticket.

This is more than a screening. It's a celebration of q***r storytelling, local creativity, and the community that makes it all possible. Whether you're a longtime supporter of ESFF, a film lover, or just looking for a meaningful night out this summer.

Our annual 48hr Mobile Device Filmmaking Challenge runs from 6PM Friday, May 22 to 6PM Sunday, May 24, so grab your friends, family, and film crew for an unforgettable weekend of indie filmmaking, storytelling, and creative chaos!

This FREE filmmaking competition is open to all Alberta residents. In just 48 hours, you’ll create a screenplay, shoot on a mobile device, edit, and deliver a completed short film. 📱🎞️

Pre-register now to receive the 3 secret filmmaking elements emailed at 6PM Friday. Every film must include them! Films can be shot anywhere in Alberta using a mobile device.

All completed films will be screened during our online watch party on Sunday, May 31, with winners announced live! 🏆
