So happy to have experienced volunteering at a food kitchen, and serving a hot Christmas dinner at the
to people who need need it the most. It truly made my heart full. My late aunt, Jeanie Brown, was my favorite. She would play the guitar for me, and every year I would stay with her at her and my uncles cabin at north buck lake and stay with them fir a few weeks in the summer.
My auntie was amazing. She has the biggest heart, and was strong and independent, brave enough to stand up for herself and what she believed in and also incredibly caring. She always motivated me to follow my dreams and supported me as an artist among so many other things.
ALS took her body away from her slowly. ALS is truly horrifying. I can even imagine what she was going through when she has lost the ability to talk, breath, swallow, move, while her brilliant mind, still fully intacked.
I think she would absolutely loved to know that this Christmas dinner at the hope mission is dedicated to her. I imagine her there with my Uncle Jim who she loved with her whole heart, with our family, helping to organize the volunteers, talking to guests, being the amazing force that she was. making sure everything was perfect for the people who need it most.
