We recently had back⁠ in working on more new music and this time it was for an entire album! After shooting out many options, we decided on one of our trusty 414s as the ideal lead vocal mic. Fun fact, we have several and no two sound exactly alike - especially after a little use and aging! ⁠ ?⁠

Two icons in one picture! Randor setting up our .berlin U87. The mic that needs no introduction and has been a studio standard for decades. We love it on vocals, acoustic, kick, drum overhead and more. If the source needs presence and body, the 87 is always a good choice.

The Dione is a main stay on our drum overheads when tracking. A modern take on the SSL G Bus compressor, it’s got all the same mojo with some modern updates that we love!⁠
