Uncanny Creative Studio Unique décor for the eclectic taste. Art is intrinsic to the way I navigate the world and process heavy emotions such as depression and grief.

I am a q***r, mostly self-taught, multidisciplinary artist working with various mediums concentrating on ceramic sculpture, assemblage with natural and ethically-sourced materials, and mixed media paintings. Most of my art is inspired by nature, organic shapes, and movement.

Lenses II
21”x25”
A collaborative piece by Hollis Hunter and myself for an upcoming edition of YEG Writes “Lenses”. The original cover piece was shot with a fox skull where the raccoon one now sits to be inline with the some of the themes found in the book. This is the largest piece I’ve worked on yet and one of the most tricky. This piece challenged me in so many ways, I learned a lot about my own process and finding areas I can improve on. I will definitely be making more larger pieces, this one was too much fun. The flowers are locally grown and dried by Strawflower Farm, the skulls are ethically sourced from a forest outside of Montreal. Hollis sourced the frame and fabric, dyed and mounted it, painted the moon, and I arranged the assemblage. We collaborated on placement and what flowers would really complement the piece, this was truly a joint effort.

Come see this in person at the The Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Vancouver, BC on October 10 & 11 at the Vancouver convention centre!
