This client has a cool scar up the side of her leg and wanted Harley dancing on it. We decided to add some soft shading of the pole so its easier to see but once it heals it should soften a little bit and let the scar shine through

I figured i would make this post for anyone looking for a coverup to show what I mean when I mention the "beige out" or "white out" phase. We started with the linework and shading the areas we know we can cover the old tattoo and then a skin tone or white is tattooed over the existing tattoo to further mute the old work. Sometimes this takes one hit of corrective colour sometimes it takes a few but by doing this when we lay the new tattoo over it will better disguise what was there before.
