A couple of us at ImagiNation Miscellany (Kristina de Guzman & Poushali Mitra) were thrilled to take part in Kitchen Codex, a food-based participatory art project 🍲, being exhibited by Patrick Cruz & curated by Christina Battle.

We got to share personal recipes in our own languages (Tagalog & Bengali) in exchange for a mini-balikbayan box of Filipino snacks. 🇵🇭🍿

The recipes, including our recipes of Filipino dessert fave ube halaya (purple yam jam/flan) 🍠🥛& aloo bhorta (mashed potatoes) 🥔🌶 from India's Bengal region 🇮🇳, will be printed on textile on display at SNAP's gallery windows (10572-115 Street NW) in Edmonton starting this Saturday, Aug. 28 till Oct. 2, 2021.
