Colorguard is known as the sport of the arts, and evolved from military activity. A military colorguard often traveled with a band, who would play a patriotic song and the person responsible for carrying the flag presented it with a guarded precision. This use continued into the civilian marching bands In military colorguard. Now the pageantry activity has progressed into a 'no holds barred' compe

tition, by exploring all levels and types of dance choreography, elaborate staging, and different uses of equipment including, but not limited to flags, rifles, and sabres. The Colorguard Collective is primarily a winter activity, known as winterguard, running three programs; aged six to twelve, thirteen to twenty-one, and for "vintage" performers aged twenty-one and up. We compete provincially and are looking to expand our season to compete at W-G-I, Winterguard International. The collective is inclusive to all performers, and are currently accepting members for its upcoming winter season.

Okay, okay… we know. Father’s Day and Bingo Volunteer recruitment don’t exactly go hand-in-hand.

BUT... the shift is only 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM, so there’s still lots of time for celebrating Dad before joining us for an evening of fundraising fun.

Plus, volunteers receive a free meal, so technically we’re helping with dinner plans too? 😉
