Sylvan Valley Pottery A home studio pottery located in the Algoma District of Ontario, Canada Marie, Ontario. It's natural surroundings provide inspiration for the wares created.

Sylvan Valley Pottery was established in 2017 after two years of searching for the right property. It is located just to the northwest of Sylvan Valley in the District of Algoma, 30km east of Sault Ste. Resident potter Kim Caldwell found pottery in midlife and immediately fell in love with it. She uses a variety of hand and wheel techniques to create a wide range of functional wares. Individuality

is a key component in the production of all pieces. Kim spent five years potting at the Sault Potters Guild before pursuing her dream of opening a home studio. Studio is open by appointment. Please use DM for questions or to discuss a commission.

Wow, what a year! My heart is filled with gratitude for all the wonderful people of Algoma and beyond who have supported Sylvan Valley Pottery and other makers in our region. I am humbled to know that so many of my creations are loved and enjoyed in your everday lives. Here's to another fantastic year in 2026! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and creative New Year 🎉

The last show of the year for Sylvan Valley Pottery will be this weekend Holiday Gift and Craft Show. Come see us both Saturday (8th) and Sunday (9th) 10am to 4pm. The shop is open today and tomorrow 10am to 4pm, but will be closed Thursday to Monday while we perp and attend the show.

My clay cupboard is overflowing again! I'll do my best over the next 6 weeks to fill the shelves again in time for the Holiday Gift and Craft Show. Sylvan Valley Pottery will be there on the second weekend, Nov 8th and 9th. I'm working on some new mug designs in time for the show, so stay tuned!
