We are passionate about building community around the arts in Elgin County In 1971 Reverend Bryan Foxton, along with his wife Eileen, founded the West Elgin Dramatics Society. Together they rallied friends, family, and neighbours, to help preserve and promote local live theatre for the community. nicipal building at 199 Currie Rd in Dutton Ontario. For over 40 years the centre has hosted amateur and professional performances as well as community events. WEDS owes its continued success to the dedication of our community volunteers, actors, support crew, technicians, sponsors and patrons.
