West Elgin Dramatics Society - WEDS Founded in 1971, the West Elgin Dramatics Society is a nonprofit community theatre in Dutton, Ontario. Come and see for yourself.

We are passionate about building community around the arts in Elgin County In 1971 Reverend Bryan Foxton, along with his wife Eileen, founded the West Elgin Dramatics Society. Together they rallied friends, family, and neighbours, to help preserve and promote local live theatre for the community. The West Elgin Dramatics Society Performing Arts Centre is located on the upper level of the Dutton Mu

nicipal building at 199 Currie Rd in Dutton Ontario. For over 40 years the centre has hosted amateur and professional performances as well as community events. WEDS owes its continued success to the dedication of our community volunteers, actors, support crew, technicians, sponsors and patrons. After 11 years, WEDS is bringing our homegrown holiday comedy, Corporate Christmas, back to the stage!

Our elves have been hard at work in the workshop, preparing an updated version of our original script for a whole new production.

This is an open audition open to all ages. We will have readings for you so no preparation on your part is required. That said, if you do have something prepared we will be happy to see it.
