A powerful vocalist with deep cultural roots, Shawanda also founded New Sun Records in 2010—the first female and Indigenous-owned record label in Canada—where she continues to mentor and produce emerging artists.

ARTIST LINEUP:
- Crystal Shawanda – an Ojibwe–Potawatomi singer, songwriter, and powerhouse vocalist from Wiikwemkoong First Nation on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Crysta is celebrated for her incredible ability to move between country, blues, and soul with equal conviction.
- Blue Moon Marquee – A.W. Cardinal and Jasmine Colette make up this JUNO Award-winning swing-blues duo, prized for a genre-bending sound that moves through blues, jazz, jump jive, folk, country, swing, and Indigenous soul.
- Digging Roots – A two-time JUNO-winning husband-and-wife duo, ShoShona Kish and Raven Kanatakta, who blend blues, soul, and rock into a joyful celebration of Anishinaabe and Onkwehón:we culture.
- Morgan Toney – A Cape Breton-Unama'ki Mi'kmaw fiddler and singer who fuses centuries-old Mi'kmaq songs with fiery Cape Breton fiddling in a style he calls "Mi'kmaltic".
- Jade Turner (Musical Host) – A Misipawistik Cree Nation storyteller and 2025 Western Canadian Music Award winner for Country Artist of the Year, known for vocals that swing from raw and gritty to spirited and energetic.
