Words from Jeanie Rogers, be sure to check out her studio during the rest of the time today, or from 10-5 tomorrow!
"This will be my last Denman Island Pottery at Gilded Petunia Pottery. To mark the moment, I am going to have a silent auction at my studio, during the Pottery Tour, for a couple of pieces that are uniquely 'Denman'. The proceeds will go to the amazing Farm to Family program that has become an important service for the Denman community and a happy part of my life on Denman.
I will offer a pot from the anagama wood fire at Gordon Hutchens place. It was one of the most successful pieces I had from the 'dragon'. Lots of ash and flame colour. I will also offer the "Spirit Horse' that I made with Bentley last year. It was an amazing collaboration! The silent auction will run throughout the Pottery Tour, from 10am on Saturday May 16th to 5 pm Sunday May17th. I will contact the successful bidder on Sunday evening. The bidding will start at $50.00 for each piece. This will only be at my studio, Gilded Petunia Pottery, #2 on the tour map. Come on by!"
