Our volunteer Guild of member artists holds regular Gallery 1710 shows, demos and workroom drop-ins.

The South Delta Artists Guild is a non-profit member-based organization of visual artists who create, share, and exhibit art in our community. VISION

We are the go-to place for artists and art lovers in South Delta. ABOUT US

Open to any visual artist from the Lower Mainland, the Guild offers Members the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and improve their art skills, whether

they are beginners or accomplished artists. The Guild began in 1975 with a small group of dedicated local artists interested in painting, and over the past 40 years has grown to over a 100 active Members who enjoy a dedicated studio workspace and spacious gallery. United by a shared vision to promote arts in the community, Members enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere to learn and grow artistically. Gallery 1710 located at 1710 56th Street at the Kiwanis Longhouse in Tsawwassen (beside South Delta Rec Centre) has been home to the Guild since 1999.

Calling all art lovers! Today is the final day of BETWEEN THE LINES, the Private Art Show and Sale at Gallery 1710 in Tsawwassen, showcasing the art of six local artists. Shown here are works by two of the artists.

Top: Elayne Preston presents a broad collection of works inspired by florals, landscapes, seascapes, portraits, animals and birds. Working in watercolour, pastel and alcohol ink, Preston’s art balances abstraction with recognizable forms, creating pieces rich in movement and colour.: Blooms for You (left) and Sunny Chevy (right)

Bottom: Mel Anderson contributes representational acrylic paintings with a particular focus on landscapes, capturing the character and rhythm of familiar places while emphasizing light, structure and everyday moments: Winter Sun - Canmore (left), and The Cheakamus (right).

BETWEEN THE LINES, Gallery 1710's current Art Show and Sale is in it's final weekend. This amazing show celebrates the work of six talented local artists. Works by two of those artists are shown here.

Gillian Olsen paints primarily
in watercolour often combined with ink. Her pieces are frequently mounted on cradled panels and varnished to enhance their details. Shown here: Dragonfly 1 (top left) and Shimmer(bottom right).

Ann Hilton's expressive watercolour works explore a wide variety of subjects through the use of diverse surfaces, textures and mixed media techniques, often pushing the boundaries of traditional watercolour methods. Shown here: Golfer (top right) and Tulips (bottom left).

The final Friday of this show! If you haven't been to Gallery 1710 lately, you still have time to catch "Between the Lines", a private show featuring six notable local artists. The gallery will be open from 12-4 pm until Sunday when the show closes.

Two of the artists who are particularly inspired by nature are Marika Morissette and Kathi Bond. Marika is fascinated by organic structures, dynamic movements in nature, and vivid colours that bring energy to her works. Kathi’s daily inspiration unfolds as soon as she steps outside her home, where the vibrant ecosystem surrounding her becomes a source of creativity,
infusing her sculptures with the essence of the untamed beauty she witnesses.

Works such as these by Marika, Breakthrough (top) and Limitless (bottom), and Kathi, Picasso (middle left) and Sunset Duet (middle right) will be on exhibit.

"Between the Lines", Gallery 1710's current art show, continues this weekend for its second and final weekend.

Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to view this exhibition by six accomplished local artists. The exhibition brings together the work of Ann Hilton, Kathi Bond, Mel Anderson, Elayne Preston, Marika Morissette and Gillian Olson , with a range of artistic practices, from expressive watercolours and contemporary abstract works to sculpture and representational painting.

This is the second and last weekend of the show which runs until August 30. The Gallery will be open Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The South Delta Artists Guild offers a variety of workshops throughout the year. This one day watercolour workshop with
Scott Pleydell-Pearce is a great opportunity for beginners or experienced artists who want a refresher, to learn the main watercolour techniques from the ground up. The course aims to cover Brush technique, Wet in Wet, Wet On Dry, Dry brush and many more including simple sky and clouds.

BETWEEN THE LINES continues on Sunday at the Gallery 1710 in Tsawwassen. Two of the six featured artists in the show are Kathi Bond and Ann Hilton.

Kathi is a BC stone sculptor, working in Alabaster, Soapstone, Marble, Limestone, Brucite, Pyrophyllite...and pretty much any cool stone she can get her hands on! Specializing in the wildlife and nature genre, she explores textures and colours inherent in these stones, in sculpting animals and nature. Two of her sculptures are shown here: Boreal Chorus(top left)and Ambrosia (bottom right).

Ann is a watercolorist and focuses on nature and representing that subject in expressive ways. Shown here are Chinatown (top right) and Eagle Face to Face (bottom left).

It’s reception day at “ Between The Lines “ here at Gallery 1710 in Tsawwassen. Come on by and meet the artists peruse their creations and snack on some morsels while enjoying a Saturday afternoon at the gallery. What could possibly be more fun ??
