Applications are now open for two concurrent artist residencies this coming January: Songwriter in Residence and Producer in Residence!
In partnership with the Klondike Institute of Art & Culture, North Klondyke Highway Music Society, and Parks Canada, the program will provide a songwriter and a music producer with time, space, and resources to research, develop, and produce new material – or to rework and refine existing music. The residencies are self directed and not outcome oriented.
Participants are invited to spend the entire month of January 2027 on Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Territory, living in a Gold Rush-era house that includes two artist studios. The program is a rare opportunity to discover the magic of a Northern winter and to immerse yourself into the community and culture of our amazing little town.
In addition to housing and studio space, DCMF provides return travel for the selected artists (within Canada), an honorarium, and access to additional resources available through our community partners.
