The Community Services Department (Parks & Recreation) has a host of programs and recreation facilities open to everyone:

The Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre hosts not only two swimming pools, but also a rock climbing wall, an indoor playground and access to the indoor Wayne & Bev Dahlen Walking Track. The Kin and Memorial Arenas offer public skate, drop in hockey and dry floor drop in programs after the ice season is done. Many recreation drop in programs and courses are offered in our local schools.

🚨 Climbing Wall Closure Notice 🚨

The climbing wall will be closed on Friday October 16 to Sunday October 18 due to a climbing instructor course being hosted at KBAC.

The regular climbing wall schedule will resume on Monday October 19.

⚽🏐 There’s still time to join our Recreation Programs!

Whether your child is interested in soccer, volleyball, multisport activities or hands-on learning, there are programs currently running with space still available — plus even more starting in November.

Current and upcoming programs include:
• Volleyball Skills & Drills
• Developmental & Intermediate Soccer
• Multisport Minis
• Lab Rats

Programs are available for a variety of ages, from 2 to 15 years old, with weekday options running through October, November and December.

🏐 FUNDAMENTALS | Ages 8–12

Participants will learn and practise basic volleyball skills while developing confidence and a strong foundation in the game.

🏐 DEVELOPMENTAL | Ages 8–12
