Well, that’s a wrap! Another gamescom in the books, and a year of firsts: Adam’s first gamescom, Adam and Nathan meeting IRL, and Cosmocat showcasing at gamescom!

We met lots of great people, drank lots of good b**r, and got lots of positive feedback about the game. The most rewarding part was getting to spend some time together as a studio, and getting to know our publisher.

Astral Flux: Origins will release early this fall. Watch this space!

Hey, we’ve got a few things going on in Europe this spring/summer!

May 31 @ Retro Game Fair in Tilburg, Netherlands:
Nathan will be there showing a build of Astral Flux: Origins, along with a cool little 3D print of the protagonist, Wrenchy. Come try out the game and say hello!

June 2-3 @ INDIGO Conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands:
Nathan will be showing the game as part of the showcase. The game will be loaded on these neat arcade cabinets, for maximum old school vibes. Nathan will also be giving a talk on Science x Gamedev.

August 27-28 @ gamescom in Cologne, Germany:
Both Adam and Nathan will be present at our publisher’s booth to show Astral Flux: Origins. This is also the first time we’ll meet IRL, after 5 years of remote collaboration! 😯

Hello again! We’ve been heads down working on Astral Flux: Origins for the last few months. We’re in the home stretch, but as you can probably imagine there are many extra details that go into a physical release: manual, box, cartridge label, etc. Unlike digital distribution, it’s a very committal process—we can’t exactly go back and fix typos or bugs. We’re excited, but also a bit anxious, if I’m being honest!

To make sure we get it right, we’re asking for your help: we’ll be running a closed playtest over the next couple of weeks. The playtest will be run via Discord; simply drop a note in the -flux-origins channel to get your playtest role, which will get you into the channel with all the info you need.
