On behalf of everyone involved in organizing the Royal Ball held recently at the Floyd and Ethel Cudmore Hall, we would like to extend our thanks to the incredible community members and businesses who made this magical event possible.

A very special thank you to the Co-op, whose generous $250 grant provided all of the snacks and drinks that kept everyone fuelled throughout the day.

We are also so grateful to Thrift on Broadway for their kind donation of gift certificates, and to Xi Promotionsfor providing the stunning castle facade that truly brought our enchanted kingdom to life.

And finally, an enormous thank you to our volunteers who dedicated their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make sure every child who walked through our kingdom gates had a memory they will treasure. From running the stations to keeping things moving, they are the true heroes of this story.

The Royal Ball reminds us just how fortunate we are to live in such a generous and caring community. We are already looking forward to the next adventure!

RSVP by June 14 for our first ever Royal Ball in the Park.

The Razberry Jam is a musical project born from the camaraderie of friends and neighbours nestled in the heart of the Morden/Winkler area. Formed in 2023, their flavours include story driven, folky originals and reimagined covers that spread easily across decades and genres.
Hailing from Pilot Mound, Mason “Mason Jar” Weselowski plays the acoustic guitar, drawing from his roots as a singer-songwriter. With a musical journey stretching back to his teenage years, Mason has shared the stages at festivals such as the Harvest Moon, Winnipeg Folk Fest, and Prairie Winds Festival.
On bass, Henry “The Duke” Dueck helps hold down the rhythmic foundation of the Jam. Henry’s musical odyssey commenced at the age of 15. Along the way he journeyed through various bands (Sour Gurkins, Alafalonga, Murtle, End Of Winter) before settling into the groove of The Razberry Jam. A seasoned professional since 1999, Henry’s diverse musical background brings depth and flair to the group's sound.
Banging on the pots and pans is Mike “GrooveHound” Hiebert. Mike's percussion journey has traversed genres ranging from rock and pop, to jazz and folk. A true professional in his own right, Mike's dedication to his craft led him to study under the esteemed Joe Porcaro at the Los Angeles Music Academy, graduating with top honors in Music Performance.
On Fiddle is Jason “The Maestro” Vanwynsberghe. When he was 7, Jason was signed up for violin lessons even though he wanted to play guitar like all the cool kids. Eventually he realized violin is cool too, and went on to study violin performance and music composition from Brandon University. He also has a full studio of violin students and conducts the Advanced String Orchestra for the Douglas Kuhl School of Music.
Opening act will be Zach Kin & Copper, family trio of Kelsey Reimer, Joelle Waldner and Corey Zacharias. This local group’s country, folk and bluegrass repertoire features the tight harmonies that these siblings are well known for.
The concert starts at 7:00 pm at the Crystal City Parklane Theatre and is a fundraiser for ongoing operation of the venue. A cash bar will be available. Tickets are $25 and available only at the door. Doors open at 6:00 pm.
