Over the next few days, we will be profiling our 7 2026 Cranbrook Youth Ambassador Candidates. In this post, we feature Sierra Scavo.
Sierra is the first-born child to Krista and Giacomo Scavo. She has two younger siblings a brother Nolan and a sister Mallory.
She loves to be outdoors, whether she is camping, mountain biking or soaking up the sun by the lake in the summer or skating, skiing and sledding in the winter. Sierra also loves to stay active, and her favourite way to do so is CrossFit where she enjoys lifting weights and challenging herself. She also enjoys playing rugby.
Sierra has been a hockey player since 2019, playing mostly female hockey. She has learned many valuable lessons and made many friendships through the sport. This year she started coaching which has brought even more great skills and opportunities.
Sierra currently works for the Cranbrook Bucks at their games in the concession. She has learned great communication skills and customer service. She enjoys interacting with customers and putting smiles on faces. In addition, she works as a waitress at the Colombo Lodge and loves the great environment and all the friendly people.
Sierra is in Grade 10 at Mount Baker and is part of the French Immersion Program at school. She is planning to graduate with her double dogwood and hopes to attend post-secondary school to pursue a career in medicine or education.
