Great news everyone!
Things are happening at Locals for the upcoming season

Sound
Our brand new Bose sound system has arrived. Strong, pristine and faithful to the instruments is the best way to describe the sound quality. We look forward to providing the best for our audiences very soon.

Lights
Our directional stage lighting is delayed at Canada customs for now but we also hope to have that in our hands soon.
Ideal for following the action on stage it should add to the show quality as well.

Action
The 2026/27 season show dates have been established and are as follows:
October 3
November 14
January 23
March 27
April 24

Five dates confirmed with Cranbrook community theatre
With a possible wind up show in May yet to be determined.

Emails to potential performers will be sent out shortly so watch your inbox if you’re keen to appear onstage.

A brand new email address has been created for information or e-transfers should anyone want to donate to our quest for new sound equipment. It is [email protected]
No security question for etransfer is required at this point.

This email address is now the main portal for all locals related communications including performers and booking etc.
Ticket sales are still managed thanks to Erin and her awesome crew at Huckleberry Books but last minute ticket enquiries in the event of a sell out will be handled through this email address.
Thanks for the patience as we get more wrinkles ironed out and stand by for next season’s shows. Dates are being organized right now in coordination with cranbrook community theatre.

Yesterday a very generous person who prefers to remain anonymous donated two hundred dollars towards our quest for new sound equipment. They love the shows and where it goes and by that I mean how our proceeds support school music programs. I will soon be creating a new email address for Locals that donations can be etransfered into or for information exchange so stand by for that please.
As of today our fund raising efforts for a new sound system stand at 1700 with a goal of 8500. We only want to do this once so we are going to do it right.
The Locals community is awesome!!!

Yesterday the TuneSmiths raised 500 dollars towards the purchase of sound equipment for the Local’s coffeehouse by playing at the legion in Cranbrook. Our fund is growing but we need help we’re open to ideas and donations no matter how big or small

Doug and Wally as the TuneSmiths are playing at the Cranbrook legion Friday May 8th 4 till 6
No cover charge but all donations are going to locals to help buy the new sound system for next season. Come down and support this worthy cause and the Legion too. Let’s fill the place and have some fun!

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Cranbrook!

Rotarian Lallah Gunst hands over a donation to Robin Sudo, representing Locals Coffeehouse, to help support their long-running concert series featuring local performers from the East Kootenay region. It is hosted at the Studio Stage Door! A lot of talent right here in the Koots!
