The production launched the careers Cathy Jones, Greg Malone, Mary Walsh, Andy Jones and Bob Joy. This amazingly hilarious satire came home to Newfoundland in 1974 and proceeded to start a cultural revolution. In Newfoundland a 'time' has always been of the utmost importance - when life is hard it's an escape from the day to day grind, when life is good it's a celebration of the glorious independence of spirit. So, come, sit back, have a few cups, clap your hands, tap your toes and revel in an evening of recitations and traditional Newfoundland music! S.S. Ethie - A Dinner Theatre

This dinner theatre originally opened at the inaugural Gros Morne Theatre Season in 1996 and has been playing to full houses ever since. And the coastal steamer Ethie is docking once again at the Shallow Bay Motel for another wondrous journey back to December 1919 for her final voyage. Join Captain English, Cassie Brown and 1st Mate Gullage along with the colourful crew as they recreate the tale of how she came to rest on the rocks of Martins Point 86 years ago. Tempting Providence - The Nurse Myra Bennett Story

She delivered more than 700 babies, extracted at least 5,000 teeth, set broken limbs, performed kitchen table operations by lamplight and was known throughout Newfoundland and Labrador as "Florence Nightingale of the North." A wonderful heartfelt portrayal of Nurse Myra Bennett who for more than 50 years was the only medical aide along the almost 350 miles of rugged coastline on the Great Northern Peninsula. Who's Darkening Our Door Tonight? On most Monday's through July and August TNL presents travelling musicians and theatre shows on the one night of the week that our company of actors and technicians have off. This year we're proud to present Pamela Morgan, who for 19 years was lead singer, guitarist and arranger for Canada's pioneering "Celtic" band, Newfoundland's Figgy Duff, who brought the traditional music of Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as collecting songs and dance tunes from older traditional players around the province. Daniel Payne will actually be appearing on three nights, as a soloist, with his sister Stephanie Payne and with the extended Payne Family - nights you won't want to miss! We'll also present Wanda Carroll in her one woman show, "The Road Less Gravelled", a series of funny stories about growing up in a small, remote outport in Northern Newfoundland in the 1970's. Stagehead Academy
Designed for students who may be considering a career in Theatre, Stage Head Academy, is a two-week youth theatre intensive operating this summer between Corner Brook and Cow Head. Week one (July 16-22) will include classes from professional theatre artists in Corner Brook. Stage Head students move to Cow Head for Week two (July 23-Aug. 7) where they will received instruction from the actors, designers, stagecraft professionals who make up the Gros Morne Theatre Festival 2012 Company. The Academy will culminate with a performance at the Warehouse Theatre on August 7.
