✨ Guest Artist ✨
We are thrilled to announce our June Guest Artist is the incredible Kathleen Raven
Kathleen Raven is a Canadian artist working primarily in clay, creating sculptural and functional pottery that explores themes of underground worlds, transformation, and “through the rabbit hole” wonderment. Born in 1971 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, her work draws viewers into imaginative spaces where curiosity, storytelling, and quiet mystery intersect.
Raven’s work has been collected internationally, including a notable sale to former U.S. President Bill Clinton. She has presented a retrospective of her work at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in conjunction with the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, and has taught workshops for guilds throughout British Columbia. Her teaching includes sculpture instruction at the Metchosin Summer School of the Arts.
Committed to following curiosity rather than convention, Raven continues to make work that brings her genuine joy in the studio. She hopes this sense of play, discovery, and delight carries through each piece and is felt by those who encounter her work.
Kathleen’s work will be showing at The Potters Place Gallery throughout June 2026.
