Not going to lie, this has been my Everest for years. I used to believe I could make anything... except a dress. I was so full of self doubt on this idea, right up until I placed the initial waistband on the mannequin. But from there, I trusted the process and came out on the other side a little wiser and a lot more self assured in what I've learned over the years.
I am incredibly excited to take what I've learned from finally jumping in on dress making and making more intricate designs. Maybe some day making dresses for people to actually wear at events.

The Hashtag Charitable Foundation and Noelle's Gift to Children are excited to release their collaborative fundraising book, Smash Hits!

The book follows local students out to discover all the ways they can grow up to become a smash hits. They encounter real-life business owners from across Sarnia-Lambton! ⁠This means you will be reading about real people and places from the community that you love.

To celebrate the launch and success of this project, and Noelle’s Gift are hosting a party at The Book Keeper on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. and will include a reading of the book, some refreshments from Great Lakes Refill Co., photos with Pounce and Buzz, and balloon creations from Twisted Chris!

Well, it's officially official, so I should make it official...er(?)
Twisted Chris will be performing at the CK Expo this Saturday, April 29.
Another local showcase of all things pop-culture and general geekery, the CKX is a blast to attend and meet others who enjoy your favourite flavour of entertainment. Shopping, cosplay, games, there's something for everyone, so come on out and pay me a visit while you're here.

Another day, another crazy build. I had the privilege to take part in the grand opening of The Painted Cat Studio in the Lambton Mall today.
If you know Cat, you know that her number one hero is Bob Ross, so there really was little doubt in what to make for her.
Did you make it out to the opening? There was so much to do and so many people to meet. I'm exhausted now.

Hello, Facebook. I've been on a break for a while. Starting the season up slowly, but surely, and will soon be back to entertaining you with colourful, twisted fun. There is a post I made over on Insta, and I felt the need to bring it here as well.
There's been a lot going on in the news and locally about this topic lately. As a business, I normally try to avoid sensitive topics. As a human, that is a luxury that can't always be afforded.
Twisted Chris is, and always will be, a safe space for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Love is love and trans people are valid. These are two things I will not yield on. Our existence and rights are not up for debate. And any rhetoric that causes othering, that dehumanizes, or that brings danger and harm to us is not ok.
The business side of me realizes this may cost me parties and events in the future. The human side of me knows that that's ok. Those who would disassociate from or disavow me for this issue are probably not the best fit for me to work with anyways.
I will always proudly serve the Sarnia-Lambton area in my usual way of just celebrating people together.

Did you know I also create balloon decor with twisted creations? Lambton Mall had me out to assemble an autumn themed archway.

I had a lot of fun with this build. Especially the scarecrow and the sunflowers.
