We are hoping you will join us as we raise the sails on the theatre, and organize our indoor venue for the upcoming 2026 season. Jobs big and small, something for all!

To Celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday we are announcing our 2026 SEASON!!!

This summer, Perchance Theatre brings you a season of love, rebellion, laughter, and heart—set against the wild beauty of Conception Harbour.

• ROMEO AND JULIET – urgent, physical, and dangerously alive (adapted and directed by Danielle Irvine)
• LITTLE WOMEN – fierce, intimate, and deeply relevant (adapted and directed by Allison Kelly)
• THE SURPRISE OF LOVE – playful, local, and full of heart (by Marivaux, adapted by Evan Mercer and directed by Perry Schneiderman)
• EVERY BRILLIANT THING (returning) (by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahue, directed by Allison Kelly and starring John Sheehan) – funny, honest, unforgettable

Fresh off directing for Stratford Festival’s Birmingham Conservatory, Artistic Producer Danielle Irvine returns with a season that hits hard and connects deeply.

Perchance Theatre is holding auditions for their upcoming season!

We are looking for actors who are excited to spend their summer months performing great plays in the great outdoors.

Located in beautiful Conception Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, (40 minutes from St. John’s), Perchance Theatre is an outdoor theatre known for their innovative productions of classical and Newfoundland plays.

The productions, as well as the space, are physically demanding with sword fighting, physical comedy sequences and generally rushing about on multiple levels of our outdoor stage. It can be hot, it can be cold, but there will almost always be flies. We also have a lot of fun, with a bbq on site and swimming hole nearby.

Fast facts about the season include:
• We are casting for three shows.
• Some roles have been filled.
• The season starts in mid to late June and is an 11-week contract.
• Remuneration range is derived from the CAEA DOT Tier 1.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the employee.

If you are interested in auditioning for the upcoming season, send a video audition to [email protected] by 6pm on Sunday, April 19th. A google drive link or Wetransfer are preferred. Please also include a headshot and resume in your email.

For your Audition:
Introduce yourself: Your name, where you live, a little about yourself as an actor
2 monologues: at least 1 from a Shakespeare/classical play (each piece should be 2 minutes or less)
Additionally: showcase yourself playing an instrument or singing a song. (1 minute max)
Callbacks will be held on in a mix of in person and zoom with the season’s directors on April 27th.
