Happy Birthday Ms. Stone!🎉
A lot of great journeys start in unexpected ways. For Ms. Stone, dance began with a doctor’s recommendation to help strengthen her flat feet. What started as a simple activity quickly became a lifelong passion. She still remembers taking her first Cecchetti ballet exam and realizing how much she loved the challenge. Ballet was hard work, and she loved every minute of it.🩰
Today, what inspires Ms. Stone most is seeing the impact dance has on the lives of her students. She loves watching dancers grow in confidence, step outside their comfort zones, and discover what they are capable of achieving. Seeing students find something that makes them feel proud, special, and successful is what keeps her passionate about teaching.😍
When students leave her class, Ms. Stone hopes they take more than dance skills with them. She hopes they develop a love of movement and an appreciation for the incredible things they can accomplish when they work hard and believe in themselves.🥰
Some of her most magical moments come from watching dancers grow over many years. Seeing students who started as tiny Prima Star Dancers develop into senior dancers filled with strength, artistry, and athleticism is something she never takes for granted. Remembering where they started and celebrating who they become makes her incredibly proud.🤩
When she needs a boost of energy, her go-to song is "Calabria 2008," along with a good workout at the gym.💪
“Watching our students radiate our core values makes my heart happy,” she says. “When dancers work hard to reach their goals, when students make sure new dancers feel welcomed and included, and when I see our Prima Star Dancers completely immersed in class, those are the moments that mean the most.”👯
