There has been a lot of confusion regarding the closing of 5,6,7,8 Dance which we are now able to clarify.

The building which is home to 5,6,7,8 Dance has been sold.

In June, 2023, we had a suspicion that 5,6,7,8 Dance may not have been able to resume in the same location for the fall program. As a result, we deliberately did not take payments for fall 2023 courses and still have not. None of our beloved clientele were financially locked into this year.

We regret not being able to tell you this sooner, but we were unable to. Our announcement last week was intended to provide you, our valued clients, sufficient time to make alternative arrangements to continue to enjoy dance.

If we had another location ready, we would open tomorrow. Unfortunately, it would not be a proper, professional opening. We are committed to keeping the spirit of our community alive and ensuring that our shared passion for dance remains undiminished.

We remain optimistic about the future and are excited about the potential opportunities that come with change.

Fun Fact!!! There are only 12 spots available for each children’s programs. Once a dancer has registered for a program eg rec dance ages 5-7, that dancer will have dibs on his/her spot until age 8 or if she/he drops out.

Once a program is full it takes someone dropping out in order to open a spot for a new person.

So if the original 12 all stay in they will all be together for 3 years, and they will be first to get into the age 8-11 program, and the free glee program.

Summer camps were a great success! It’s time for Galen to rest up before the Fall Kick Off. Fall student and adult classes are posted on the website. Remember each program has a limit of 12 students, waiting for September may be a mistake.

Fun fact….this is not a stock picture! These are my ballet dancers at the national ballet where they ALL passed their exams with highly commended or honours. There seems to be some misinformation going around this town that I don’t do ballet. WOW:(. I have my cecchetti associate diploma certification, I was the Secretary and the President of the cecchetti society of Ontario., and I’m the ONLY teacher in the area who continued running exams during COVID, and at the Intermediate level!!! Dancers from Other Studios in town came to ME to get them done. I can prove all of this , so don’t listen to people who day ANY different. Spread the word!!!
