The Coulson Concerts present Anne Walker
Sun, Sept 27 - 2 pm
Oro-Medonte, ON

Anne Walker turns stories into songs. Then the poetry and melody deliver those stories straight into the heart. On Sunday, September 27, she'll be sharing some of these stories at her annual concert as part of The Coulson Concerts. She'll feature songs from her five recordings, some from her extensive unpublished catalogue, and a few new surprises.

Anne was raised on a small farm right there at Coulson, and these roots in a country life are evident in the contemplative nature of her music and the quiet strength of her words. Often drawing comparisons to Kathy Mattea, Connie Kaldor and Anne Murray, Anne's rich voice lends itself well to the variety of her material. And variety there is--a pleasing blend of folk, country, ballads and blues. And there is humour! Anne's performances, while intimate and thought-provoking, are buoyed up by her sense of joy and her lively wit.

Tickets $25 available at annewalker.ca/the-coulson-concerts

You can still get tickets to hear Eileen McGann at The Coulson Concerts. Sun., May 31 at 2pm. $25 at https://annewalker.ca/the-coulson-concerts 301 Horseshoe Valley Road W in Oro-Medonte

First, you notice her voice, a “clear, astounding voice” (Boston Globe), and then, the songs: beneath the strong, rhythmic guitar, and the haunting melodies, there are lyrics that demand attention. Whether a witty political zinger, a rare ancient ballad, a rollicking canoeing song or an anthem to a Canadian landscape, a McGann song stands out from the crowd.
