I had the wonderful pleasure of playing some background music for the gala aahkowaitapiitsimmotsiiyo’pa. It was an incredible evening of entertainment and keynote speakers. Shout out to the work that they do in communities across North America 🙌🏽

We got some good work done .piano and I, on our commission from We have a world premiere for “Love Songs” planned for Sept. 26/26 in Ottawa at Pique 🎶 This piece is definitely challenging but oh so gorgeous!

Please keep an eye out as we start fundraising for the premiere. The concert will also include other commission projects as well as featuring guest on Viola

I am honoured and grateful to receive the Prairie Resonance Award from I was recognized for my work advancing the presence of Indigenous composers/music in the contemporary music - prairie scene and decolonizing perspectives and repertoire.

This was presented to me by .sailor at the Sounds Like Alberta concert in Airdrie last night 💖🎶 Thank you for this recognition 🫶🏽

New Year! New Show! New Name!

I have been slowly working on a collection of new songs, starting in 2024. I am really happy to have this show in Inglewood, I’m hoping to share a few of these new songs as well as a few of the old favourites - all part of a new show. I am working on called NIYA.

I will give you all to come out, have a listen, and relax and enjoying the excellent food and coffee 💖

Sharing the stage last night with and was full of magic. I am honoured to have shared the stage with such beautiful improvisers. Listening to electrifying set with Joel LeBlanc was topped off by Erica Pomerance. So good! Thank you to the Curators Raph and Eric and to for bringing us all together.

IF 2025 kicks off THIS FRIDAY! (November 28-29), and I’m excited to be a part of this year’s program!

Organized by the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation (IICSI), this two-day improvisatory festival is free, open to all, and takes place in ImprovLab—a cutting edge and physically accessible research and performance space at the University of Guelph.

IF 2025 brings together experimentalists and improvising artists from across Canada, and is curated by IICSI director, Dr. Eric Fillion, with support from curators from local concert series. Among many others, you’ll catch acts from Sarah Pagé, Roger Tellier-Craig and Karl Lemieux, Kristina Guison with Colby Richardson and Colin Cudmore, myself and Chantelle Mostacho, and a special performance by legendary Quebec counter-culture figure Erica Pomerance, backed by local improvisers Joe Sorbara, Germaine Liu, and Dan Loughrin!
