This actually feels so bittersweet and a bit surreal to say that we are moving to New Liskeard in just a couple weeks 🥲 Even though it’s been hard being so far away from family, I am so thankful that we got to live in Cochrane for the past 6 years, and start our family here. I’ve always said it was not a town we ever would have chosen ourselves, but God knew it would be perfect for us 🤍 I’m so sad to move away from some of my closest friends, our church family, and my client base. But it will be an exciting change and I’m really looking forward to making a new house home and living closer to family ❤️ And we’re still not ready to leave the North completely!! We’ll just be a couple hours away, in NL 🫶🏻

10 years ago today, I photographed my first wedding. Let me set the scene for you -
I had way too much confidence for a 15 year old shooting her first wedding solo, and felt very professional writing up my contract and meeting with my first real clients. Of course, I couldn’t drive on my own so my Mom drove me to the wedding and helped me all day, she even let me use her fancy new Canon rebel 😅. It was so much fun and really made me excited for a future photographing weddings all the time. It felt so special to be a part of such important moments. Of course, I edited all the photos on a free online program called picmonkey and they are on a hard drive somewhere that probably also has a lot of cringeworthy photos on it from my earlier years 🫠 I can’t even remember if I shot in RAW or not (probably not). But I was just so honoured to have photographed such a special day for a couple who is now celebrating their 10 year anniversary 🤍
