Re-Creations by Sylvia

Re-Creations by Sylvia I make one of a kind garden flowers that I handcraft using repurposed vintage dishes and glassware found at local thrift shops. Artwork for the garden!

Who doesn't like flowers? Recently I started gardening again... there is something very therapeutic about pulling weeds, digging in the soil and seeing the seeds you plant turn into something beautiful that you can admire. I get the same satisfaction creating my garden flowers. There are some beautiful plates, bowls, vases, ashtrays, shot glasses, and so much more just waiting to be rescued and re

purposed into works of art. My flowers have a fixture on the back which easily attaches onto a pipe. I love using copper pipe because of the way the patina forms on it over time. Simply pound a piece of rebar into the ground where you want to display the flower, slide the flower (which is already attached to the pipe) over the rebar and ... Voila! You now have a beautiful work of art that is always in bloom. It will brighten yor garden and never need watering!

This yoga goddess was made for a friend working hard on finding zen in her life. The flowered plate represents her love of gardening, the rose quartz is for love and peace, the ashtray is for letting go of bad habits and the marbles.....well ....... :)
