Some love stories come full circle in Cobourg. During Cobourg’s First Night celebrations, Tristan chose his hometown as the place to ask Shayna to marry him — making an already magical New Year’s Eve even more unforgettable.

Tristan grew up in Cobourg before life took him to Niagara, but he never misses a chance to return to his roots. Shayna lives in Pickering, and when it came time to plan their engagement, Cobourg felt especially meaningful. It’s where their very first date took place, making the moment even more personal.

After a lovely dinner, the couple arrived by horse and wagon and were dropped off along the Esplanade, surrounded by the twinkling holiday lights of Rotary Harbourfront Park and the glow of the waterfront during the First Night celebrations. With fireworks lighting up the New Year’s Eve sky behind them, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.

From first dates to forever moments, Cobourg is where memories are made. 💍
