Discipline is rare.
That’s why it wins.

Sometimes we like to share our team, but sometimes it’s fun to shine a little light on a few solid leaders we have met on the way. And this year. We plan to do it more.

This is Cody Drinkwater. He’s pretty rare.
Cody leads multi- crews of builders via Drinkwater Construction (give them a follow~ Cody drinkwater ) He brings provincially recognized builders such as John McSkimming and the Derby Brothers together. If you know them~ you know the level of discernment and the carefully considered clients that follow.

Cody methodically puts together teams for wildly complex projects.
He’s a pursuer of excellence.
He is indomitable.
He’s ultra disciplined and it wins.
He’s kind, funny as hell and his clients just adore him. (Spoiler: So do we < 3 )

Cody. We know you don’t love the online space. So we’re giving you this little launch 🚀
Because. After all, isn’t supporting each other really what it’s all about~ and if you’re thinking about building a complex angled, cantilever or stilted home- these are his favourite (😆) and he should totally top your list.

Bill, Kylie + Chelsea have spent years building Raven Valley together. Bill and Kylie are siblings, with a lifetime of shared history. Chelsea has worked tirelessly beside them for many years bringing her grit, talent and determination.

Along the way, they have been raising 6 young children~ including twins! They have navigated a pandemic, global supply chain issues, a severe skill shortage and a period when demand outpaced even their most tireless efforts. There were seasons when growing Raven Valley and growing their families asked so much of them at once.

Through it all, they kept showing up for one another~ learning how each other thinks and strategizes, recognizing when they need support, growing a comfort to challenge an idea and speaking with candour to each other in the pursuit of a exceptional.

Those that study great teams repeatedly describe how trust and connection deepen over time, bringing out the strength in one another. If you’ve worked with them, this idea feels deeply familiar. They don’t move as three. They move as one.

The ease you see in their work today has taken years to build.

Soon, we will be sharing a few projects that capture this beautifully. Work that shows what becomes possible when creativity, skill and a deeply established trust come together. A team working seamlessly, bringing everything they have learned together into the details.
As one of our lovely clients recently commented~ when you are tied to a specific type of outcome, you hire a specific type of team.

Before we share these incredible spaces, we wanted to honour the people behind them.

Bill, Chelsea and Kylie: so much of what makes Raven Valley so unique has grown through your care for the work, and for one another. It also shows through in how you’ve worked together to source and grow our whole team. Hand picking, slowly, the best talent to be found. Finding only the most exceptional builders and clients to partner with. We hope you take a moment to feel proud of what you’ve built.

We cannot wait to show you what they have created. 🐦‍⬛

The key to happiness? It might just be the bathroom lock. 🛁🍂

Crisp fall mornings. Luxe baths. Rich wood tones and beautifully considered millwork (compliments of Chelsea Talbot 😉) that make staying in feel like the best plans you’ve made all week.

Our love of beautiful cabinetry extends well beyond the kitchen.

Go ahead. Close the door. Stay a while.
