Exciting news! 😊 I am happy to announce that my most recent painting, “Dawn of a Bluebird Day” (48”x 60”, oil on canvas) has been juried into the 2026 Online Federation Showcase with the Federation of Canadian Artists! This is an online-exhibition spotlighting work from FCA member artists across Canada. 🇨🇦

Today, I received the news that my painting was awarded Third Place! ✨ Thank-you, FCA jury members! I am honoured and grateful for this recognition. 💐😊

This showcase of exceptional Canadian artwork will be available to view online for the entire month of April. Don’t miss it! ✨

Woohoo! That’s a wrap! 30 days; 30 plein air paintings! ✅
This is Spahats Creek in the “Grove of Giants,” Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC. The leaves are yellow and the air is cool and damp. It was a pleasure to sit and paint on the edge of the creek on this last day of September.

Well, it rained today, so I just packed my paints down to the park and painted underneath the picnic shelter. These are the swings that I used to play on, in grades one and two, when the Birch Island school was still standing. It’s long gone, but the property has been a a beautiful park for many years, and my kids were able to play on these swings when they were little, too. 😊💗
