If you’ve ever wondered how an artist transforms a field study or sketch into a larger studio painting, now’s your chance to find out! Make sure to check out the “Field to Studio” exhibition, by the Thompson Nicola Shuswap Chapter of the FCA.
“In this show, visitors can see a photo of the view that provided the inspiration, the painting or sketch on site, and the finished studio piece.” ~ Kamloops Arts Council
One of my recent paintings, “Glacial Grandeur” is part of the show, along with my original plein air painting of Athabasca Glacier, that I painted along the Icefields Parkway last September. Both pieces are available for sale. 🙂
The exhibit is open until June 25, 2026. Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm. Main Gallery at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Kamloops, BC ✨
