🚨CARA Summer Program 2026 Registration Reminder!🚨

Registration packages will be available for pickup starting tomorrow, June 3rd! You can get your registration sheets at the Clarenville Event Centre Box Office.

If you pick up your registration forms before registration night to get ahead of things, please remember that you MUST still attend our official registration session happening on June 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the Clarenville Event Centre. This is where families will complete the registration process with the CARA Team and submit their payment!

Don't forget there is NO CAP on registration this year! We are just giving people the option to get ahead of things and have forms filled out before arriving on registration night. 📃

📱Be sure to keep an eye out for our CARA Summer Program 2026 Remind QR Code! This will be posted around the theatre during registration night for parents/guardians to join the group for this summer. We have used Remind in the past and have found it to be a great way to communicate important updates and information with parents and guardians throughout the summer.

While we continue to post updates, schedules, and announcements on Facebook, we know that not everyone checks Facebook regularly. By joining our Remind group and turning on notifications, you'll receive important information right away and won't miss a thing! If you have any trouble joining Remind don't hesitate to reach out to us for some guidance!

We have lots of exciting plans in the works and cannot wait to share them with you all. Summer 2026 is shaping up to be a great one!😄☀️

THE 2026 YELLOW BAG CAMPAIGN IS HERE!!

Our community clean-up runs thru MAY & JUNE. This year we've enhanced the prizing in an effort to ensure our town is absolutely SHINING for our 75th Anniversary Celebrations!

Yellow Bags and disposable gloves are available at the Town Office and Clarenville Events Centre starting Monday, May 4th at 10:00 am.

RULES & REGULATIONS LISTED BELOW

BUSINESS/COMMERCIAL BEAUTIFICATION CATEGORY
1. Take photos of your business’ property BEFORE you start cleaning up.
2. If you cannot properly dispose of the trash at your business, please contact the Recreation Office on 466-4105 ext. 221 to arrange for staff pick up.
3. Take AFTER photos of the area you cleaned-up and email to [email protected]. All entries will be judged once the Yellow Bag Campaign concludes.
4. Challenge your neighboring business(es) to do their part!

BUSINESS PRIZE:
-$500 Donation to the Charity of your Choice
-$500 Team/Staff Meal Voucher. Valid at any food establishment in Clarenville

RESIDENTIAL/NON-PROFIT CATEGORY
1. Take photos of your property and/or an open space throughout the community BEFORE you start cleaning up.
2. Leave your used Yellow Bags in an easily accessible area and Town employees will dispose of them.
3. Take AFTER photos of the area you cleaned-up and email them to [email protected], to be used on social media.
4. Participants will receive ONE ENTRY for every Yellow Bag you fill. UNLIMITED ENTRIES. GROUPS MUST INCLUDE A LIST OF ALL MEMBERS.

RESIDENTIAL/NON-PROFIT PRIZE:
-$500 IN CASH

❄️ Wintertainment 2026 Recap ❄️

Wintertainment 2026 was a fantastic week of community, creativity, and winter fun in Clarenville! Despite some challenging weather, residents of all ages came out to enjoy a wide range of events.

Highlights included the Dummy Downhill Competition with 15 dummies, Touch the Star with 17 hikers, Battle of the Brains with 15 teams, and a record 15 teams in the Puzzle Challenge. We also saw great participation in the Button Design and Kids Coloring Contests.

New events like the Escape Room at The Loft, Wing Eating Competition at Westside Charlie’s, and Kids Jungle Party at Jungle Jim’s were big hits. While weather led to some cancellations and changes, events like the rescheduled Seniors Event still saw great turnout.

🎉 Congratulations to all of our contest winners! Winners will be contacted personally by next week.

A huge thank you to our event partner CARA, and our sponsors—Gold: Clarenville Lions Club & Westside Charlie’s Clarenville; Silver: Craig’s Locksmithing; Bronze: Royal Canadian Legion, Mills Pittman & Twyne Law Offices, Shoppers Drug Mart Clarenville, Pitts Stop Garage, Wave Hotel & Fitness Centre, and Gypsy Sea Adventures—as well as everyone who donated prizes or supported the festival.
