❤️ FIRST, A LITTLE THANK YOU!
Mother Nature certainly wasn't kind this weekend but despite the miserable weather, so many of you still made the trip out to the Big Island Drive-In, and we want you to know just how much that means to us. When the weather turns cold, wet and downright unpleasant, we know there are plenty of reasons to stay home. Yet you bundled up, braved the elements and continued supporting our little drive-in. We never take that support for granted, especially during these unpredictable October weekends.

And speaking of braving the elements... we've got quite the survival story coming your way as the weather turns around for the last two weekends in our season.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Sunday but we will be back with HEART OF THE BEAST — OCTOBER 16–18 with a showtime of 7:30 Friday through Sunday. One man. One dog. And a fight for survival where courage, loyalty and the bond between them are put to the ultimate test.

🍂 We're down to our SECOND-LAST WEEKEND OF THE 2026 SEASON!

10/09/2026

Two movies each playing for the next two days...with only two more weekends left!

☣️ FOR THE HORROR LOVERS — RESIDENT EVIL- with a showtime of approx 10:00 pm. Gates opening at 9:15 Friday and Saturday, October 9 & 10.

Once the families head home after Forgotten Island, we’ll clear the lot and open the gates for an entirely NEW crowd. From Zach Cregger, the filmmaker behind Weapons and Barbarian, comes a terrifying new standalone story following a medical courier whose night turns into an all-out fight for survival. You DO NOT need to have seen the previous Resident Evil movies to jump into this one. 😱🧟

Just enough time for the Bomber game first - Resident Evil second. Sounds like an entertaining night! 🍿

Our last animated film of the season and the first screening with a showtime of approx 7:15pm on Friday and Saturday, October 9 & 10 🌴 DREAMWORKS’ FORGOTTEN ISLAND.

From the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish comes a colourful new adventure about two best friends transported through a mysterious portal to an incredible island filled with magical and mythical creatures. Friendship, laughs, adventure and a whole lot of imagination — this one is for the whole family! 🌺✨

ONE WEEKEND. TWO VERY DIFFERENT MOVIES - Whether you’ve got the kids in the car or you’d rather wait until AFTER DARK for something considerably more terrifying… we’ve got you covered October 9 & 10!
⚠️ These are TWO SEPARATE SCREENINGS — NOT a double feature. We’ll empty the lot between movies and reopen the gates for Resident Evil. Only a few weekends left and the movie selection is just too good! One for the families, one for the horror lovers. One great long weekend!

THIS WEEKEND UNDER THE STARS — THE DOG STARS - survival, isolation, humanity.
📅 Friday–Sunday • September 25–27. Showtime 8:00. Gates open at 7:00

From legendary director Ridley Scott — the filmmaker behind Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner, The Martian and more — comes a haunting new post-apocalyptic thriller based on Peter Heller’s bestselling novel, The Dog Stars.

After a devastating flu pandemic wipes out much of the world, Hig (Jacob Elordi) and survivalist Bangley (Josh Brolin) have built an isolated life in the ruins. But when a mysterious radio transmission breaks through the silence, Hig takes to the skies in search of something that may be even harder to find than survival… hope and human connection.
