Scott has been racing motorcycles since 1992, retiring from superbike racing in 2005. He raced professionally at both the regional and national levels in Canada and the USA. Being a successful pro rider, Scott an
d two other pro riders were asked by the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club (WMRC) to create a race school for the race club in 2002. Since then, Scott has taught hundreds of race school students within the WMRC race program. This program later became the West Coast Superbike School with Scott acting as Chief Instructor. Scott continues to mentor amateur and professional racers at WMRC. Scott has taught and mentored several mini roadracers from the ages of 8 to 65 who race in the Pacific Coast Mini Roadracing Club (PCMRC) at the Greg Moore Raceway in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Mini roadracing is very similar to full-size roadracing. The racing lines, acceleration and braking are all to scale of full-size road courses but without the top speed. Racing a bike of these sizes lets the rider go all out, and have a great day of racing without the expense and speeds of full-size roadracing. It does not take a new bike or alot of money to be competitive and it is one of the cheapest forms of racing in Canada. Scott is the creator of the Western Canadian 250 Gold Cup series. As a former WMRC pro racer, Scott created this series in the hope that it would rekindle interest in the failing sport of motorcycle roadracing. (See Motorcycle Mojo magazine June and December 2012 issues, and Canadian Biker March 2013 issue for further information). In 2005, Scott served on the WMRC Executive as Promotions Director. Currently, Scott is the President of the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club (WMRC), and an Executive Member of the Pacific Coast Mini Roadracing Club (PCMRC). By day, Scott is a Certified Arborist. He lives with his girlfriend in Chilliwack, BC and has two daughters.
