We sent our resident arm model to The Axe House to prepare for Bury the Hatchet, and let’s just say that his axe-throwing career may be short-lived. At this rate, we’re starting to think the arm model thing might be the safest option for him…
But thankfully, you don’t need to be good with an axe to enjoy Bury the Hatchet😉

One Centre, yet so many ways to get creative! 🎨
This September and October, our classrooms are getting busy with everything from pottery and glass mosaic to acrylics, watercolour, drawing, crochet, sewing, jewelry, dance and photography.

You can learn the basics, build on skills you already have, or spend a Saturday making something completely new, like a macramé leaf hanging, beaded lanyard, needle-felted pet or soapstone garden piece!

There’s a lot to explore, and you don’t have to be an expert to get started!

Calling all actors!

The Chilliwack Players Guild is taking another trip back to the golden age of radio, and we’re looking for actors to join us.

This production will recreate the feel of a 1940s radio broadcast, featuring two classic shows:

The Whistler — “Stranger in the House”
A long-running radio mystery drama originally broadcast from 1942–1955.

My Favourite Husband — “Twelve for Dinner”
A classic radio comedy that later inspired the beloved television show I Love Lucy.

We’re looking for actors to play a variety of roles across both broadcasts. If you love character work, storytelling, and the fun of creating a world with just your voice and performance, we’d love to see you at auditions!

Auditions: Saturday & Sunday, October 17 & 18 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM

Oh, the places you’ll go… when you follow the imagination of CSOPA!

Get ready to step into the wonderfully wacky world of Dr. Seuss with Seussical the Musical, brought to life by the talented young performers of the Chilliwack School of Performing Arts (CSOPA)!

Based on the beloved stories of Dr. Seuss, Seussical takes audiences on a colourful, hilarious, and heartwarming adventure through the Jungle of Nool, where Horton the Elephant discovers a tiny world that needs his help, JoJo learns the power of imagination, and the Cat in the Hat turns everything upside down!

As a performing arts school, CSOPA is proud to give young performers the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre both onstage and behind the scenes. Our students have spent months developing their skills in acting, singing, dancing, teamwork, and storytelling—and now they're ready to share their hard work with the community.

With toe-tapping music, larger-than-life characters, dazzling costumes, and plenty of Seussian silliness, Seussical is a celebration of imagination, friendship, courage, and believing in the impossible.
